Blues City Coffee has Gone Away Blues

Blues City Coffee at Main and Peabody Place has gone out of business. We had good memories at this place.

Jillian's restaurant and entertainment center in Peabody Place Downtown closed Monday and will be replaced with a locally owned sports bar and restaurant.
Expects to open in March.

The Silly Goose will replace Swig martini bar on the ground floor of the Peabody Place office tower at 100 Peabody Place.

Google Launches Street View in Memphis

This is perhaps the coolest application Google has in terms of mapping technology. You can now view street maps via 360 degrees of Memphis (most parts of downtown has Street View).

On a web browser, go to maps.google.com search for an address in Memphis and click on the Street View link on the info bubble. This will bring up a window with 360 degree view of the street. You can pan around to find what you're looking for.

If you have an iPhone, download the iPhone Update 2.2 and on the Google map app you have to drop a pin on the location to get the Street View mode.

Enjoy and you should never get lost again !!
