Memphis Tigers Basketball Season Outlook

Memphis Tigers Basketball opener is next week. Jeff Goodman of FOXSports.com has written a season analysis & outlook while ranking Memphis at 13 in his Top 25 countdown:

  • Why they'll make the Final Four: Kemp will need to become a steady point guard and Evans will need to become the Tigers' go-to guy.
  • Why they're getting bounced in the first round: Point guard play just isn't up to par.
  • You don't know him ... yet: Tyreke Evans — He has good size, strength and can really score the ball.
  • Why you'll want to pay attention before March: To see if the Tigers will once again dominate in Conference USA.
  • Prediction: First in Conference USA
  • Games that will determine their season: Dec. 13 at Georgetown; Dec. 20 vs. Syracuse; Jan. 24 at Tennessee; Feb. 7 at Gonzaga
